The Premier League holders return to European action this week, with Manchester City facing off against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola's men have made a fantastic start to the new campaign which sees them setting the pace in the top flight, along with them on the brink of securing qualification through to the knockout. A win against the Ukrainians at the Etihad Stadium coupled with a favour in the groups other game, then City will be through with a couple of games to spare.
The Citizens have won every available domestic honour since their takeover by Sheikh Mansour back in 2008 but the one thing thats eluded their grasp so far is the Champions League. Pep Guardiola was brought in to steer them towards that crown and their progress under his stewardship has really been something else and its not gone unnoticed. City are now the favourites to go all the way and lift the trophy in Madrid on 1st June & the way they're playing you'd be brave to bet against them!
