Football can be an extremely cruel game and at this time of the season every year some unfortunate supporters suffer the worst pain on offer in the sport – relegation. Dropping out the league comes as a result of your team failing to deliver over a 38 or 46 game season and quite frankly they have to be very, very poor for it to happen. No team can moan about being relegated, as with the season being so long it’s very rare that a team who doesn’t deserve to go down does.This season has seen some gripping relegation battles which have gone right down to the wire. The Championship’s relegated three clubs were decided in literally the last two minutes of the season, League One was settled by just a point and the fight in League Two ended with just two goals separating 22nd and 23rd.
