The new year has started which means one thing, the transfer window is open and ready for business again. Clubs all over Europe will be flexing their financial muscles as they bid to strengthen going into the home straight of the campaign and it always guarantees drama. Most sides tend to do the majority of their transfer dealings during the summer window but the winter gives underperforming clubs the chance to address their issues, whilst teams at the top can add that extra bit of quality to help get themselves over the line.
Last year we saw some massive deals go across the line in January, with Liverpool's club record move for then Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk the biggest by some distance. The Dutchman cost Jurgen Klopp a reported £75m, which is still a world record fee for a defender but despite that mega fee, it's pretty fair to say that he's proven to be a bit of a bargain so far. The January window can often lead to huge deals like this and we're hoping that there's more of the same in 2019!
With the winter window now open we've put together a quiz that'll really test your knowledge on previous seasons - we want to see if you can name all 20 Premier League clubs record January deal. We've given you 6 minutes to correctly name as many as possible and we're expecting some big scores as the majority of these transfers have been done over the last few seasons. Give it your best shot below and tweet your attempts into us @FootyAccums to see how you've fared against the rest of our followers!
