The Championship player of the year is a great honour for anyone and recognises their individual performances throughout the season. It has been won be some good players and made a platform for them to make a name for themselves in the Premier League. This Championship season has seen some great talent come and join the League and others put themselves on the map with their respected clubs. Ruben Neves was one of the standouts with Wolves this season, but narrowly missed out with Fulham’s wonder-kid picking up the prize.
The Championship playoffs are well on their way with Fulham waiting for either Aston Villa or Middlesbrough at Wembley. The Cottagers have had a great season and are favourites to gain promotion via the playoffs. They beat Derby 2-1 on aggregate in the semi-final and the Championship POTY was a big part of that. With his big performance in the second leg we’ve taken a look at all the past winners, we’ve looked all the way back to 2006 and have made a quiz on it.
We want to see if you can name every Championship POTY since 2006. It sounds easy but it’s a lot more difficult than you think, with 13 answers to guess. We’ve given you a pretty generous five minutes to name as many as possible and once you’ve given it your best shot tweet us @FootyAccums and we’ll RT the best – good luck!
