The 2018 World Cup has been full of goals. With the introduction of VAR penalties are being awarded almost every game and teams are taking advantage of that. We are still yet to see a goalless draw and the big players are turning up. However, there has been some big upsets so far and we could see some of the top nations go out. World Champions, Germany are in real trouble of going out after a poor start. Argentina are also in trouble despite having one of the best players in the World in their side. Lionel Messi hasn't made any impact so far this tournament but still can guide his country to the round of sixteen.
The 1986 World Cup was the last time an Englishman scored a hat-trick. That year we reached the quarter-finals and were knocked out by that goal, losing 2-1 to Argentina. The player finished top scorer that year. Now in 2018 it appears we have another world class striker in our ranks. After a 6-1 drumming of Panama we have a player on five goals from the opening two games and is in the running to win the golden boot.
