England and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard celebrates his birthday on the 30th May and we’ve decided to created a quiz celebrating his brilliance.
Steven Gerrard came though the Liverpool academy and is one of few players in the modern era to play the majority of his career at one club. Gerrard made his debut for Liverpool in 1998, coming off the bench against Blackburn Rovers. Gerard Houllier was the man to give Gerrard his debut that day and played a big part in his development as he managed the club until 2004. During his early career Gerrard was used as a utility player. He spent a couple of seasons playing at right back as well as right midfield. However, his best position was most definitely in the centre of midfield where he could have the most influence on the game.
During his time at Liverpool he scored some very important goals. The goals he scored in their 2005 Champions League campaign saw them lift the trophy. He has also scored important goals in the FA Cup and of course the Premier League. In total Gerrard has racked up a tally of 186 goals for Liverpool across all competitions. Gerrard was part of the English golden era and was capped by his country 114 and was unfortunate not to win more than he did for club and country.
We want to see if you can name the every team Steven Gerrard has scored against for Liverpool. It sounds easy but it’s a lot more difficult than you think, with 65 answers to guess. We’ve given you a pretty generous eight minutes to name as many as possible and once you’ve given it your best shot tweet us @FootyAccums and we’ll RT the best – good luck!
