The FootyAccums Friday Quiz: Week 4

Friday Football Quiz

It's been another week of drama in the world of football, with European action taking centre stage. English representatives Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all took to the field in the Champions League & Europa League - to varying degrees of success.

Spurs produced another professional performance to defeat Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund 1-0 at Signal Iduna Park, and 4-0 over the two legs. Mauricio Pochettino's men did magnificently to keep out the prolific Germans which in-turn booked their place in the quarter-finals of the CL for the first time in their history.

Manchester United joined them in both the quarters and writing history, becoming the first side in the CL era to overturn a 2-0 home first leg defeat to eliminate PSG. The injury ravaged Red Devils won 3-1 in Paris to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet another victory and ensure the Ligue 1 outfit made yet another disappointing early exit.

London duo Chelsea and Arsenal were also in action in the Europa League. The Blues recorded a comfortable and expected victory over Dynamo Kyiv at Stamford Bridge to put them in the driving seat going into the second leg. Arsenal on the other hand suffered a 3-1 humbling at the hands of Rennes - currently tenth in Ligue 1.

Unai Emery's men took the lead early on through Alex Iwobi but crumbled following the dismissal of Sokratis Papasthathopoulos just before the half-time interval. It's given them a mountain to climb when they meet again at the Emirates Stadium but they're certainly capable of turning things around.
