The World Cup is almost here and the warm up games are well under way. Will all the 23 man squad now been picked we can begin to assess who has the best chance of winning this year's World Cup.
Brazil have been impressive since their miserable exit in 2014 and are the favourite this year. Playing in Russia seems to be their main stumbling block, due to the vast differences in climate and culture. However, very few play their football in Brazil at the moment and would have experienced this change of culture and climate plenty of times before. Germany are their main challengers. Germany are the current World Cup holders and yet again have a very strong squad coming into the tournament. They've had to leave some world class players at home due to the depth Joachim Low has at his disposal.
The World Cup started back in 1930 and has been held every four years since, the only exception being war time. Despite numerous World Cups, their has only been a limited number of winners with the same teams challenging every tournament.
