The 2018 FIFA World Cup is approaching the business end of the tournament and it's been absolutely fantastic. The games are running out and we're drawing ever closer to finding out who'll be lifting the famous Jules Rimet Trophy on July 15th, with Brazil, France and England (yes England!) the favourites. This tournament has seen a shed load of goals, drama and entertainment making it one of - if not the - best World Cup's ever. There's been plenty of top performances with the worlds elite players well and truly turning up.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Ronaldo have set the tournament alight with four goals each for Belgium and Portugal respectively. Ronaldo made an early exit but Lukaku is still in the hunt to win the Golden Boot, with him the nearest competitor to our very own Harry Kane. The 24 year-old has been a revelation at this summers tournament after netting 6 goals in his opening 3 games and he could become the first Englishmen since Gary Lineker (1986) to win the Golden Boot!
Over the years we've seen some fantastic performances at the World Cup from some of the best players, resulting in lots of goals. We've been looking at some of the statistics from previous World Cup's, mainly revolving around who's scored the most at the Finals. So with that in mind we've put together a brainteaser for you. We want to see if you can name the 10 top scorers at each of the last 5 World Cups (1998-2014) and we've given you generous 7 minutes to do so! It sounds a lot easier than it is, so you should be aiming for around 80% on this one! Once you've given it your best shot tweet your scores into us @FootyAccums and we'll RT the best!
