This weekend could see a big shake-up in the bottom half of the Championship table with 18th down to 23rd only separated by eight points. Both need a win to look up the table and towards the top half rather than embroil themselves in the scrappy survival battle.
Huddersfield Town currently sit 21st in the Championship after 26 games. The Terriers have five wins, ten draws and 11 losses, leaving them on 25 points, just three points above the relegation zone.
The Terriers have one of the worst attacks in the Championship this season, having only scored 26 goals, which is the equivalent to a goal a game this season. Defensively, they’re not much better, having conceded 44 goals, conceding an average of one goal a game and only keeping four clean sheets, the second-worst record in the league.
Plymouth Argyle sit just above Huddersfield in 18th. In 26 games, Plymouth have seven wins, eight draws and 11 losses which leaves them on 29 points, seven points above the relegation zone.
In the Championship, Plymouth have an even worse defensive record. Despite having six clean sheets, they have conceded 45 goals already. On the attacking front, Plymouth are ranked fifth in the Championship for goals scored, having found the back of the net 43 times, with Morgan Whittaker having the second most goals in the league.
