            Ferencvaros vs Tottenham Prediction

Tottenham Hotspur should be comfortable favourites and make it two wins from two in the UEFA Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur are listed as one of the favourites for the Europa League and has found scoring relatively easy to come by this season, having scored at least three goals in three of their fixtures this season. Ange Postecoglu's side will be buoyed by their tremendous performance away at Manchester United.

Tottenham have won their last two away fixtures and are on a run of four victories in a row since the North London derby defeat against Arsenal. Expect goals in this fixture; over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the previous six involving Tottenham Hotspur and four of the last five involving Ferencvaros.

Brennan Johnson is expected to feature again, as the Wales international has four goals in his last four games. We are predicting that Tottenham Hotspur pick up another three points against Ferencvaros in a 3-0 win.

            Ferencvaros 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur.

Ferencvaros vs Tottenham Preview & Prediction

The second matchday of the Europa League takes place this week as teams adapt to the new league phase. Tottenham Hotspur are looking to make it two wins from two as they travel to Hungary to face Ferencvaros.

            Date: 03/10/2024
            Location: Groupama Arena
            Kick-Off: 5.45 pm

Ferencvaros are not expected to make considerable strides in the competition and are seen as one of the weaker teams, who could sneak a play-off place and not finish in the top eight. The Hungarian outfit are the undisputed kings of their respective league, having won their country's last six league titles. Ferencvaros failed in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round and was eliminated by Midtjylland.

The Hungarian outfit have begun their Europa League campaign with a disappointing defeat away at Anderlecht. The second half was livelier than the first as goals from Kasper Dolberg and Yari Verschaeren were enough to secure the Belgian side the win, despite a late goal from Adama Malouda Traore.

Tottenham Hotspur have been touted as one the early favourites for the competition, alongside English side Manchester United. Last season, Ange Postecoglu’s side missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification by finishing fifth behind Aston Villa and this season, this competition will be seen as a perfect opportunity for the club to break the trophy drought since 2008.

Tottenham Hotspur have started this competition in excellent fashion despite the unfortunate circumstances. Radu Dragusin was sent off for the home side against Qarabag. Despite the adversity, Ange Postecoglu would have been proud of the response from his team, as Spurs ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke and Pape Matar Sarr.

            Form Guide

Ferencvaros head into this fixture on the run of impressive form across all competitions, with the Hungarian side having only lost in their previous ten competitive fixtures, with the game against Midtjylland the only blip on their near-perfect record. Ferencvaros are once again laying claim to their throne in Hungary, with six wins from six, 12 goals scored, and two conceded.

In their most recent fixture, Ferencvaros easily dealt with second-placed Puskas Akademia with a 3-0 victory over their opponents. The first half was all level; however, an inspired substitution allowed forward Matheus Saldanha to score a second-half hat-trick to secure the match ball and all three points for Ferencvaros.

Tottenham have won their last two away fixtures and are on a run of four victories in a row since the North London derby defeat against Arsenal. Tottenham have also found goal-scoring a relatively easy concept, with three goals scored in three of their fixtures this season - Brentford, Qarabag and Manchester United.

In their most recent league fixture, Tottenham Hotspur were thoroughly brilliant away from home, disposing of a Manchester United side void of any dignity. Micky Van de Ven was given the freedom of Old Trafford to then slot the ball across the goal to an unmarked Brennan Johnson for his fourth goal in four games. Further goals from Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski compounded a miserable day for Manchester United but a glorious one for Tottenham Hotspur.
