Birmingham City and Blackpool are set to clash in the Championship this weekend as the Tangerines sit in the bottom three still with them set to fight for their life in the Championship right until the end of the season.
It's been a dreadful season for Blackpool all campaign long and they now head into this one with nine wins on the board and 23 defeats after losing to West Bromwich Albion at Bloomfield Road in a 2-0 defeat where the home side barely looked like scoring.
What makes things worse for Blackpool is how they've managed to collect just 38 points and now sit behind Cardiff City by four points in the fight to avoid relegation. At the same time, Blackpool head into this one having played two more games and have only three left on the board in the Championship this season.
They did manage to beat last-placed Wigan Athletic last weekend, but they have still lost five of their seven games since that stunning 6-1 win over Queens Park Rangers.
Birmingham head into this game off the back of a fantastic 1-0 win over Millwall at The Den against the odds. Lukas Jutkiewicz returned to the scoresheet when they collected all three points in London. The Blues remain in 15th as a result but they are level on points with Bristol City and adrift of Watford in 12th by six points.
