For our Birmingham vs. Luton prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
A side fighting to avoid relegation faces a side gunning for the play-offs in the Championship this weekend as Birmingham City welcome Luton Town to St Andrew's.
Birmingham City currently sit 19th in the Championship with ten wins, eight draws and fifteen losses from thirty-three games this season.
The Blues have had an upmarket and down season form wise but at this point it has to be considered a success considering they were the overwhelming favourites for relegation and, as of now, are in a good position to avoid the drop in the final stretch of the campaign.
They enter this game amidst a poor run of form, however, having lost each of their last three consecutive matches, the most recent of which was a 3-1 defeat at play-off chasing Norwich City.
The defeat at Norwich followed two concerning defeats for The Blues, one and against Cardiff City and a second against Huddersfield Town, which will have increased anxiety amongst the fanbase again following two good wins.
Their record at home has been fairly dismal of late having won one and lost four of their last five matches on home soil in all competitions.
Birmingham have a seven point cushion between themselves and the relegation zone so there's a decent amount of comfort as things stand, but that could soon change if their winless run is extended. Luton are in a strong position in the league but are out of form and The Blues should see this as an opportunity to claim a big three points
Luton Town currently sit 6th in the Championship with thirteen wins, eleven draws and eight losses from thirty-two games this season.
The Hatters have had an excellent campaign for the most part as they attempt to reach the play-offs for a second successive season against the odds.
They do, however, enter this game amidst a blip in form having failed to win any of their last four matches in all competitions, drawing two and losing two.
Most recently Luton were beaten 0-1 at home to league leaders Burnley, a result that shouldn't be held against them too heavily considering the difficulty of the fixture.
Similarly, Luton are out of whack away from home having failed to win any of their last three on the road.
The two sides drew 0-0 when they met on the opening day of the season but Luton, a side gunning for the play-offs, should expect themselves to beat a relegation contender but with their form wobbling an upset could be on the cards here.
