Adam Wharton opened the scoring for Blackburn in the seventh minute but Michal Helik equalised before halftime. However, with only seven shots on target for the whole 90 minutes, neither team could find another goal in the 1 - 1 draw. In the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, Blackburn took on League Two Wrexham. Any Cannon opened the scoring for Wrexham but a brace from Szmodics and goals from Sam Gallagher and Sondre Tronstad gave Blackburn the 4 - 1 win.
