Blackburn vs. Swansea Prediction, Tips & Stats

Blackburn Rovers are looking to continue their impressive form as they face Swansea City at Ewood Park in the EFL Championship this weekend.

Blackburn Rovers currently sit 10th in the EFL Championship with six wins, one draw and six losses from thirteen games so far this season.

It's been a mixed bag for Rovers during this campaign with Jon Dahl Tomasson's side drifting in and out of runs of sustained wins and losses.

The Blues have ben of the most entertaining sides to watch in the league this season with their unorthodox, gung-ho approach earning huge amounts of praise and criticism from onlookers.

However, having conceded the joint-fourth most goals in the league manager Tomasson has now refined his side's approach and somewhat tempered their insatiable lust for goals and while they're still a very entertaining watch they're much more measured in how they seek the back of the net.

They're coming into this game in very good form having won each of their last three consecutive matches, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win at Millwall.

The win at The Den was not their best performance but some resilient defending allowed them to see out the game in the second half to secure a result that now means they've conceded just once in their last three outings.

Long may it continue, from Rovers' perspective, and a win here would really see them accumulating some momentum.

Swansea City currently sit 18th in the EFL Championship with four wins, three draws and six losses from thirteen games so far this season.

Like many others, the Swans have been an inconsistent bunch in the Championship this season and they're coming into this one amidst a regulation down period.

After defeat to Watford in midweek, Swansea have now lost two on the bounce after also losing to Leicester City in their prior game but given they won all of their three proceeding games this mini losing streak should be taken with a grain of salt.

While losing to Leicester is expected, the defeat to Watford was a frustrating one as they were in front of their own fans and the Hornets have been there for the taking this season.

The Welsh side have not fared well in this fixture of late with Blackburn having won three of the last four head-to-head meetings between these two sides, including both of the last two, so they'll likely have their work cut out if they're to take three points here.

For our Blackburn vs. Swansea prediction, we're going for a 2-2 draw.

            Blackburn Team News

Dominic Hyam will be miss out through injury after being forced off in the win at Millwall so Scott Wharton will replace him at centre half.

That should be the only change to the starting lineup as manager Jon Dahl Tomasson looks to stick with a similar starting XI that has now won three matches running, with Callum Brittain continuing on the right wing, Joe Rankin-Costello in midfield and James Hill at right-back.

Harry Leonard could return to the match day squad after returning from injury but Sam Gallagher is not quite ready be reintegrated into the fold.

            Swansea Team News

Charlie Patino did not feature in the defeat to Watford and could come back into the starting lineup, while Oliver Cooper is also in contention for a recall.

Swansea have no fresh injury worries for this game.
