Blackpool will look to keep up their winning form after registering their best win of the season last time out against Queens Park Rangers with Coventry City up next at Bloomfield Road with the away side aiming for the top half of the table.
Blackpool smashed QPR 6-1 last time out, and although this still keeps them in the relegation zone, it does mean they head into this one with about as much confidence as they've had all season long.
Jerry Yates netted a penalty after three minutes in that game, as Curtis Nelson and Andy Lyons made it 3-0 before the 15th minute. Lyons added another into the second half, as Jordan Thorniley and Kenny Dougall scored a goal each to make it six. Quite incredibly, the Tangerines only had eight shots on target that day and saw just 38% of the ball.
Despite such an excellent win, Blackpool are guarunteed to remain in the bottom three regardless of a win here, as the gap still sits at four points on Cardiff City in 21st place. The Tangerines have also let in 54 goals still, which is the third-most in the league.
As for Coventry, they've drawn 1-1 with Hull City and Wigan Athletic in the past seven days, although they did manage to defeat Huddersfield Town 4-0 at the start of the month in what was one of their past results of the season. In fact, they have managed to put together an eight-game unbeaten run since their loss to West Bromwich Albion at the start of February, beating the likes of Rotherham United, Millwall, Huddersfield and Sunderland in this time.
