It's one of the biggest games of the season for both Blackpool and Rotherham United this Saturday in the Championship with the two clubs still battlign right down at the bottom of the table as the Tangerines sit in 23rd after another failure to win in midweek.
Blackpool had their best chance yet to get out of the bottom three on Tuesday night when they met with 22nd Huddersfield Town. However, the club failed to rack up all three points and left with just a point after a 2-2 draw that saw Josh Bowler net in the 90th minute to snatch a point at Bloomfield Road. Andy Lyons also scored that day but the result was made even worse for Blackpool with the red card in the first half from Gary Madine. It does also mean the Tangerines managed to score two goals with 10 men.
Blackpool are now behind Huddersfield by just one point still in the second tier and come into this game with just a one-point gap on Wigan Athletic in last place. Blackpool's two-point gap on Cardiff City remains, but they also have a game in hand on the 21st-placed side.
On the other hand, the club are still behind Rotherham United in 20th by five points and come into this game with just six wins, 14 losses and 45 goals conceded. In fact, only Cardiff, Huddersfield and Wigan have netted fewer than them as well.
As for Rotherham, this is also their best chance to move the club further away from the relegation zone off the back of a fantastic run of form from Matt Taylor's men. Taylor's side defeated Blackburn Rovers 4-0 in the league just three weeks ago in what was their best win of the season, and they've followed this up with a point against two sides in the top five, with a 1-1 draw against Watford and a 0-0 clash with Sheffield United.
We expect to see a close game here, but there is always a chance that Rotherham can turn up the heat and rack up a few goals.
