Blackpool have crashed into last place in the league ahead of playing hosts to Stoke City at Bloomfield Road with the Tangerines hoping to suck the Potters right into the relegation scrap in what is turning out to be incredibly unpredictable.
Blackpool lost to Swansea City in midweek to keep them in last place, despite Huddersfield Town, ironically, losing to Stoke 3-0 just above them in the table. The Tangerines also saw Charlie Patino get sent off that day against the Swans, as Sonny Carey netted in the second half to equalise at one stage.
The Lancashire outfit are in dead last and level on points with Huddersfield Town with 28 points each. Blackpool sit in last, however, simply because of their terrible record of 47 goals conceded - only Wigan Athletic in 22nd have let in more. The club have also scored just 31 goals so far this campaign and won the fewest games in the league with six.
Blackpool are now winless since defeating Nottingham Forest 4-1 in a stunning FA Cup win over the Premier League side. They've since gone on to score just tfour goals in all competitions across the next six games. Worse yet, they've even drawn with fellow strugglers Huddersfield and Rotherham United in this time.
Stoke head into this one off the back of a fantastic win over Huddersfield at the Bet365 Stadium. Phil Jagielka got a rare goal that day after 13 minutes, as Jacob Brown and Lewis Baker scored in the final 20 minutes to secure all three points in a comfortable win for Alex Neil's men. The club now sit in 19th in the table.
