Bristol City vs. Hull Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Bristol City vs. Hull prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.

Bristol City look to continue their decent form as they welcome Hull City to Ashton Gate in the Championship this weekend.

Bristol City currently sit 15th in the Championship with ten wins, eleven draws and eleven losses from thirty-two games this season.

The Robins have been up and down in terms of form but appear to have picked up again following a fairly dismal few months that was preceded by an excellent start to the season.

They enter this game unbeaten in their last eleven matches in all competitions having won three and drawn two of their last five.

Most recently, Nigel Pearson's side claimed a valuable point away at an in form Sunderland side in a 1-1 draw courtesy of a Nakhi Wells penalty in the 93rd minute.

The Robins have been excellent defensively of late having conceded just three goals in their last five matches, and if they can keep that up they should be in for a strong finish to the season.

Their home record is strong coming into this game having won three and drawn two of their last five matches on home soil in this competition.

Bristol City sit nine points shy of the play-off places with a game in hand over Luton in 6th, and while it feels as though that is a long shot it's not out of the realms of possibility considering their current unbeaten run. They do, though, need to find a way to convert their excessive number of draws into wins and a home game against Hull is an excellent opportunity to claim three points and continue their momentum.

Hull City currently sit 13th in the Championship with eleven wins, nine draws and thirteen losses from thirty-three games this season.

The Tigers have had a starkly mediocre season this time out after spending the majority of the campaign in mid-table after an impressive start, and it looks as though mid-table will be their destiny with little sign of a late run for the play-offs on the horizon.

They enter this game in mediocre form having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches in the league, with their most recent game a 0-0 draw at home to Preston North End.

Hull's away record has been shaky of late with Liam Rosenior side drawing one and losing two of their last three matches on the road.

Hull beat Bristol City 2-1 on the opening day of the Championship season, but it feels as though a repeat result will be tough here given Bristol City's resilience. Expect a close game but if any side is to win it it will likely be the home team.
