Bristol City vs Rotherham United Prediction, Tips & Stats

Bristol City and Rotherham United will meet at Ashton Gate this weekend with both sides aiming to secure all three points with barely anything to play for in the final few games of the Championship season with very few relegation fears surrounding the two clubs.

Rotherham are still close to the relegation zone by four point, but the dreadful form of sides Reading in 22nd likely keeps them safe in the long run.

They could, however, still be pulled right into the bottom three if they drop more points in the final four games but they did secure a fantastic 2-2 draw with Burnley last time out. Georgie Kelly scored in the 85th minute of that game to equalise, as the club came from a goal down on two occasions.

With Rotherham up into 16th as a result, they have now only lost one of their past five games after losing to Luton Town last weekend at home. They previously drew 0-0 with Hull City and Norwich City and defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-1 before that.

As for Bristol they have won 13 games and lost 16 so far but they do sit with 53 goals let in from 43 games. Bristol only have three games left to play after their midweek loss to Sheffield United, and after also losing to Watford last weekend and drawing with Middlesbrough before that, it does now mean three games without a win since beating Stoke City away from home.

Bristol team news

Bristol will be without Bell in this one it seems after he came off in the loss to Sheffield United. Andreas Wiemann and Nakhi Wells will start once more too, as Harry Cornick comes into the side once more. Andy King and James are likely to feature as well, but Anis Mehmeti should get some minutes after missing the loss to the Blades. Tommy Conway, Mark Sykes and Alex Scott all missed the last outing as well and should feature here. Kai Naismith and Omar Taylor-Clarke are expected to play here as well.

Rotherham team news

Wes Harding was rested for Rotherham in the 2-2 draw with Burnley and he should come into the side here. Tariqe Fosu also missed the game and should feature here with Ben Wiles also set to play it seems. Georgie Kelly and Robbie Hemfrey are likely to come into the side as well after sitting on the bench against Burnley. Hugill and Charles Ogbene are likely to start once more too.
