Leeds vs Millwall Prediction, Tips & Stats

Leeds United are looking to keep the pressure on Millwall this weekend with the Whites sitting adrift of Leicester City by just three points now just as the Lions aim to distance themselves further away from the relegation zone.

Millwall's form has improved in the past couple of weeks and they are heading into this game in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run that has rocketed them five points away from the bottom three. Given how it is just a five-point gap, however, and how the club are not expected to win at Elland Road, relegation is still a great possibility for them.

The London side, however, have got a stunning 2-1 win away to promotion hopefuls Southampton in this unbeaten run, despite the fact they lost 2-0 to relegation-sitting Sheffield Wednesday just a week earlier. Japhet Tanganga got a rare goal that day, as Zian Flemming bagged another penalty with Millwall having just 19% of the ball.

A 1-0 win at home to Watford came soon after for the Lions, as they went on to draw at Ewood Park to Blackburn Rovers which also keeps Millwall ahead of the struggling Lancashire side too. Last weekend, Tanganga got another goal as he scored in the 1-0 win at home to Birmingham City and it puts Millwall has the most in-form team in the bottom half of the table from the past five games after Sheffield Wednesday

As for Leeds, their unbeaten run in the Championship is now stretched to 12 games since a loss to West Bromwich Albion. This also means the only loss the Whites have been dealt in 2024 has been in the FA Cup away to Chelsea.

Leeds won 2-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday last time out to end their four-game unbeaten run, as Patrick Bamford and Wilfried Gnoto scored a goal each. The club have also managed to beat Stoke City and draw with Huddersfield Town throughout March so far, and a stunning win at home to the league leaders Leicester City has got them right in the title battle.

Connor Roberts and Bamford scored in that tie, and Leeds now see themselves three behind Leicester after the latter secured only one win in the recent five matches. Daniel Farke's side are one point clear of Ipswich Town but now also 21 points above the sixth, so a playoff spot, at the very least, is basically already secured.

            Millwall team news

Zian Flemming and Michael Obafemi are both fit to play here despite coming off in the win over Birmingham last time out. Ryan Longmon and Brooke North-Cuffy replaced them, and they should also get more game time. Murray Wallace and Danny McNamara are out injured it seems.
