Middlesbrough and Coventry City will meet in the second leg of their playoff semi-finals affair with the two sides bidding for a spot at Wembley at Riverside on Wednesday following on from the 0-0 draw in the first leg.
It will also be the third time these two have met within 10 days of one another after also playing on the final day of the Championship season. The draws for Carrick's side against Coventry have now moved them on to a four-game winless run after also losing to Luton Town and Rotherham United. The Sky Blues, on the other hand, defeated Reading and beat Birmingham City in this time and have not tasted defeat since that stunning 4-0 home loss to Stoke City at the very start of April.
