Millwall vs Sheffield United Prediction, Tips & Stats

Millwall are looking to jump straight back into the win column with a win over Sheffield United at The Den with the home side down intp seventh from fourth after the midweek games saw them drop out of the playoffs.

Millwall were beaten by Coventry City on the road on Tuesday and it now leaves th,m just narrowly outside of the top six. Watford are just ahead of them in sixth, but quite incredibly, Millwall have two games in hand over the Hornets and will be favoured to jump back into the top six with a win here and their two games in hand.

In fact, the London side are just behind Middlesbrough by five points with a game in hand on the third-placed side. On the other hand, Millwall are still 15 points behind Sheffield United in second.

As for Sheffield United, Sander Berge, Jack Robinson and Oli McBurnie off the bench all scored in a 3-0 win over Swansea City last weekend. However, with Burnley losing last time out, they are now within just a handful of points on them as the two continue to create a two-horse race in the Premier League.

Millwall's record at The Den has been incredible this season, but do not be surprised if the Blades can get the job done.

          Sheffield united team news

Sheffield United are all good on the injury front and they will likely field Ahmedhodzic, John Egan and Robinson in a back three - Robinson scored against Swansea last weekend. Wes Foderingham will likely start in goal. Bogle, Sander Berge and Oliver Norwood have been three of the best players in the league this season and will play here, as McAtee and Lowe also start. Ndiaye and Billy Sharp should start, but after Sharp started two in a row, Oli McBurnie should start here. Chris Basham and John Fleck may come into the side as well, with Ben Osborn likely to get minutes as well.

          Millwall team news

Millwall's loss to Coventry in midweek will likely mean changes to this side here. Oliver Burke and Scott Malone starting from the bench that day and they will likely start here. Jamie Schalketon also came off the bench and could start, but George Honeyman should stay with Flemming in the attacking midfield roles. Saville and Mitchell will come into the midfield as well, with Wallace, Cooper, Cresswell and McNamara all likely to play in the defence as well. Ryan Leonard is also back in the team now. There are no other injuries or suspensions to deal with for Millwall here.
