Southampton are looking to crack the top three when they head to The Den to meet with a Millwall side continuing to struggle this season after the Lions failed to win last time out once more.
Millwall head into this game after a 2-2 draw with Watford that saw Zak Flemming get back amongst the goals alongside a finish from Wes Harding from defence.
It does keep Millwall down in 18th and only above the bottom three by eight points after 14 games with them boasting of only four wins on the board, five draws and five losses. Worse yet, the London side have now scored only 15 goals and let in 18 goals too. Their last win was a 2-0 victory away to Plymouth Argyle that saw Flemming net another goal alongside a finish from George Saville.
Other wins this season have seen Millwall defeat Rotherham United by another clean sheet where they won 3-0, as they club also beat Stoke City back in August in another home win. However, The Den has been far from the fortress it once was, as they reached the playoffs last year with just four losses at home last season.
As for Southampton, they will be relatively pleased with their work so far in the Championship after a drop-down from the Premier League where they finished dead last. Last time out, they defeated Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City in a 3-1 win that saw Taylro Harwood-Bellis score alongside finishes from Carlos Alcaraz and Adam Armstrong.
The Saints did draw with Preston North End before this and also managed to get a win over Hull City before that and draw with Rotherham back in October too. Nevertheless, they are only behind Leeds United in third place by one point and have lost four times and won seven games so far.
