QPR vs. Blackburn Prediction, Tips & Stats

Two sides in need of a win meet in the EFL Championship this weekend as Queens Park Rangers face Blackburn Rovers.

Queens Park Rangers currently sit 22nd in the EFL Championship with two wins, two draws and six losses from their first ten games of the season.

Many anticipated a tough season for the Hoops coming into this campaign and it's played out exactly that way thus far as they find themselves in the relegation battle after two months of play.

They're coming into this game winless in their last five games having drawn two and lost three of their last five games.

Their most recent outing saw them fall to a 1-0 loss away at Leeds United, a result that that condemned them to a second straight loss.

Their form at home has been hugely worrying so far too, with Gareth Ainsworth's side having drawn one and lost three of their four league games on home soil this season.

QPR drastically need a win and if they fail to take three points from a side that are in equally poor form then the level of discontent amongst the fanbase will only increase.

Blackburn Rovers currently sit 20th in the EFL Championship with three wins, one draw and six losses from their first ten games of the season.

It's been a disappointing showing from a side that narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season as a relegation battle was most definitely not on the agenda for them this time around.

They're coming into this game woefully out of form having last each of their last four league games on the bounce, the most recent of which was a 1-0 loss away at Coventry City.

The defeat at Coventry was a narrow one that will have left Rovers feeling hard done by but it means they now come into this game sorely needing a win.

Performances have generally been decent for Blackburn and the amount of points they have on the board do not reflect that, but they've struggled a lot with injuries and have been inexcusably bad at times defensively which combined has been a cocktail for disaster.

If they take three points here it will go some way to improving the mood around the club but right now there is a lot of pessimism within the fan base and that could hinder them heading into this game.

For our QPR vs. Blackburn prediction, we're going for a 2-2 draw.

            Blackburn Team News

Adam Wharton is a major doubt for the away side to Norwegian Sondre Tronstad could partner captain Lewis Travis in the middle of the park.

Otherwise, Blackburn could line up exactly as they did against Coventry.
