Rotherham vs. Luton Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Rotherham vs. Luton prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the away side.

Luton Town continue their excellent season as they face Rotherham United in the Championship this weekend.

Rotherham United currently sit 18th in the Championship with ten wins, fifteen draws and fifteen losses from forty games this season.

The Millers are having a very successful season in the Championship as they edge towards survival following promotion from League One last season.

Most had Rotherham down as one of the three main relegation contenders coming into the season so for them to sit four points clear of the drop zone having played one game fewer than those in the bottom three at this stage must be deemed a success.

Their form is pretty strong coming into this game, too, having won one and drawn two of their last three games.

Their most recent encounter saw them take a point of play-off contending Norwich City, an excellent point that followed an impressive 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in the game prior.

Their form at home is very strong too as they enter this game having won three of their last four matches on home soil.

Rotherham still need a few wins to score survival and are by no means out of trouble yet. Unfortunately they face one of the tougher games in the league calendar here so three points will be hard to come by.

Luton Town currently sit 3rd in the Championship nineteen wins, fourteen draws and eight losses from forty-one games this season.

After reaching the play-offs last time out, Luton are building on their success as they sit just five points outside of the automatic promotion places.

A top two finish is still very unlikely as Sheffield United have a game in hand, but they will enter the play-offs as arguably the favourite as they end the season amidst a fine run of form.

Luton are coming into this game unbeaten in their last nine matches having won six and drawn three of those.

Much of their success is predicated on their excellent defence, with The Hatters conceding just four goals in those nine matches while keeping six clean sheets.

Their form away from home is impressive too, with Luton now unbeaten in their last nine matches on the road having won five of those.

They could only manage a 1-1 draw with Rotherham when the two sides met back in November and while this game could be similarly competitive Luton are the favourited to pick up another three points.
