Sheffield Wednesday will be aiming for another win in the Championship this weekend after finally putting Wrexham to bed in the FA Cup with the Blades way behind Burnley in the title race ahead of a visit from Swansea at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United ended up having to throw everything at Wrexham in the end. A stunning 3-3 draw with the National League side away from home forced a replay in Yorkshire, but it stunningly took two goals deep into stoppage time to force safe passage into the next round. Anel Ahmedhodzic scored after 50 minutes that day before an equaliser from Wrexham. Billy Sharp went on to win it with a 94th-minute goal and a goal from Sander Berge in the 96th minute sealed the deal for the Blades. In total, they had 32 shots towards Wrexham's goal with nine hitting the target.
In the league, Sheffield United are still on a lengthy run without a defeat. In fact, you have to go all the way back to a home loss to Rotherham to see the last time they did lose in the Championship and ironically enough, it was Rotherham who took two points off them last weekend too to end a run of two games with a win.
As for Swansea, they are down in 13th and were brutally beaten at home by Birmingham City in the league after two late goals from the Blues in South Wales took all three points. Combine this with a loss to Bristol City at home in the FA Cup and a 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers in the league and it means a poor run of form for Russell Martin's side.
Martin's men are behind Hull City in 12th by just one point but have a game in hand. What's more, they are still technically just five points behind the playoff spots and their dream of getting into the top six is far from over right now.
