Stoke vs Norwich Prediction, Tips & Stats

Stoke City will be aiming to keep up their excellent run of form ahead of the visit of Norwich City to the Bet365 Stadium with the Potters on a fantastic winning form of three games without a loss as the Canaries drew in midweek.

Norwich's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town keeps them outside of the playoffs ahead of this one, as Gabriel Sara scored the game's opening goal before Grant Hanley netted an own goal against the Terriers. Marquinhos was also sent off that day and will miss this outing.

Norwich come into this one four points behind Millwall, as they've now won 16 games and lost 13 times with eight draws as well. Norwich have also scored 52 times now in the league, which is only bettered by those in the top three. Their 41 goals let in, however, needs a lot of work. The Canaries have now not won in the past two games, having also lost to Sunderland last weekend at Carrow Road.

As for Stoke, they became one of the only teams to take points of Middlesbrough under Michael Carrick, as Ki-Jana Hoever netted in the second half to make it two goals from three games. Prior to this, they defeated playoff hopefuls Blackburn Rovers and also defeated Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

            Stoke team news

Stoke will no doubt make some changes after their midweek draw with Boro as their excellent form continues. Dwight Gayle should still start here, but Lewis Baker likely comes into the starting XI after missing the last outing. Jordan Thompson also missed the last outing and Morgan Fox could come into the side as well. Tyrese Campbell, Brown and William Smallbone should remain here. Ki-Jana Hoever got his third goal in two games from right-back last time out and should feature here once more alongside Axel Tuanzebe.

            Norwich team news

Norwich will be without Marquinhos in this game after he was sent off in the draw away to Huddersfield last time out. This likely keeps Sara, Idah and Sorensen in the starting XI with either Josh Sargent or Teemu Pukki up top after the latter started on the bench in the last game and came on towards the end. Sam McCallum is also set to feature here and Andrew Omobamidele are likely to get more minutes as well. Marcelino Nunez could get more minutes here as well, as Liam Gibbs got a rare cameo off the bench against Huddersfield. Angus Gunn was booked last time out as he continues to keep Tim Krul out of the side.
