Leeds United vs Norwich City Prediction

Leeds United and Norwich City are both vying for a place in the last eight of the FA Cup as they face off at Elland Road this weekend.

Leeds come into this game 15th in the Premier League with 31 points from 29 games. Daniel Farke's side are having a decent season but are still nervously embroiled in the relegation battle. With nine games to go and only three points separating them and West Ham in 19th, it's clear where their priorities will lie.

Regardless, though, they've had plenty of success against Championship opposition while playing a "weakened" team in this season's FA Cup, recording an impressive 3-1 win in a tricky game away at Derby County and a penalty shootout win away at Birmingham City in the previous two rounds.

Daniel Farke's side will feel emboldened by playing in front of their own fans, having only lost five times at Elland Road this season, with three of those defeats coming against sides currently in the top four of the Premier League. They also have a very favourable head-to-head record against Norwich, with the Peacocks unbeaten in the last eight meetings between the two sides, with the two teams having faced off regularly in the last few years.

50% of Leeds' last ten games have seen over 2.5 goals scored, while 60% of their last ten have seen BTTS occur, meaning both of those outcomes are firmly on the table here, especially considering they've conceded in both games against Championship opposition this season.

Norwich City are 17th in the Championship with 45 points from 35 games. The Canaries have recovered from a dismal first few months of the season and while a play-off place might be out of reach, they can still make progress in building towards next season.

Their form has improved notably under Philippe Clement, but the task ahead of them this weekend is a monumental one, particularly given their record against Leeds. The Canaries should give a good account of themselves, but it's hard to see them getting anything from this one.
