Manchester City vs Southampton Prediction

Manchester City have hit form at just the right time in the season, winning each of their last five matches across all competitions.

The League Cup winners are the big favourites to progress into the FA Cup final this weekend, with Championship side Southampton standing in their way.

The Citizens have only lost one of their last 10 matches against the Saints, picking up six wins during that period. Both teams scored when the pair last locked horns in the FA Cup back in January 2022, where City ran out 4-1 winners.

Southampton have been in great form since late January, going unbeaten in their last 20 matches in league and cup. Both teams have scored in five of the Saints' last six matches, including their 2-1 win over Arsenal in the quarter-finals.

However, we believe that Saturday's clash with Man City will be the toughest test of the season for Southampton, and have backed Nico O'Reilly to put in another impressive display.

The Manchester City utility player has 15 goal contributions across all competitions this season, nine goals and six assists. The England international starred in the League Cup final against Arsenal, scoring twice from left-back, claimed an assist against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final, and followed that up with a goal against Chelsea in the Premier League earlier this month.

Manchester City 3-1 Southampton
