Chelsea and Liverpool travel to Wembley Stadium this Sunday in the League Cup Final.

Cole Palmer and Thiago Silva did manage to get on the scoresheet for Chelsea against Wolves. However, a hat-trick from Matheus Cunha and an own goal from Axel Disasi gave Wolves the 4 - 2 win. The FA Fourth Round Replays saw Chelsea take on Aston Villa. Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson gave Chelsea the 2 - 0 lead at halftime, with Enzo Fernandez grabbing a third just after halftime. Moussa Diaby did grab a late goal but Chelsea held on for the 3 - 1 win.
A long range goal from Jefferson Lerma gave Crystal Palace the lead at halftime, but former Eagle Gallagher got Chelsea level two minutes into the second half. The Fourth Round of the FA Cup saw Liverpool host Norwich. Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch all scored in the 5 - 2 win over The Canaries, with Ben Gibson and Borja Sainz on the scoresheet for Norwich. The big game at the top of the table saw Liverpool take on Arsenal. Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal but an own goal from Gabriel Magalhaes made it level at halftime. Gabriel Martinelli regained the lead for Arsenal and following the red card to Ibrahima Konate, Leandro Trossard scored to secure the 3 - 1 win for Arsenal.
Liverpool bounced back against Burnley. Jota opened the scoring for Liverpool but Dara O’Shea equalised before halftime. Diaz and Nunez both scored in the second half to give Liverpool the 3 - 1 win. Ivan Toney did grab a goal for Brentford but goals from Nunez, Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo gave Liverpool the 4 - 1 win.
Chelsea and Liverpool have met 196 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 1907. Liverpool have the better record in the fixture with 85 wins in comparison to Chelsea’s 65 wins, the other 46 games ending in a draw. Most notably, these two met in the 2022 League Cup Final, Liverpool winning 11 - 10 on penalties.
The two sides also faced off recently. Jota, Conor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Diaz all scored in the 4 - 1 win for Liverpool, with Christopher Nkunku grabbing a consolation goal for Chelsea.
