Two sides hoping to bounce back from defeats at the weekend lock horns in the Premier League this week as Bournemouth take on Everton.
- Date: 02/12/2025
- Kick-off: 7:30pm
- Location: Dean Court, Bournemouth
Bournemouth come into this game 11th in the league table with 19 points from 13 games. On the whole, it's been a very strong first couple of months of the campaign for the Cherries, but they'll be frustrated to have dropped points in recent weeks in games they'll feel they should've won.
Their most recent encounter came at the Stadium of Light, where despite taking a 2-0 lead, they were pegged back and eventually beaten 3-2. Before that, Bournemouth drew 2-2 in a game against West Ham that they dominated fairly convincingly, but wastefulness in front of goal cost them two points. As a result, the Cherries now come into this game winless in their last four.
They've still been very entertaining to watch, though, with over 2.5 goals being in all of their last four games, while BTTS has occurred in three of their last four. They can also take heart from the fact they're unbeaten in their last five games on home soil, winning three of those.
Everton, meanwhile, have been up and down in recent weeks, winning two, drawing one and losing two of their last five outings. After picking up good wins over Fulham (2-0) and Man United (1-0), the Toffees were absolutely battered by Newcastle at the weekend in a 1-4 defeat on home soil, a result that came as a big surprise to many. David Moyes' men won't want to spend too long licking their wounds, and they have a good chance to set the record straight just days after on the South Coast.
Their form on the road has been iffy, though, with just one away from their last five games. Their recent form against Bournemouth is also a point of concern, with the Cherries winning all of the last four head-to-head meetings between the two sides. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of the last five meetings between the two teams.
Given their strong home form, Everton's poor away form and their extremely favourable recent head-to-head record against the Toffees, we think Bournemouth look primed to get back to winning ways in front of their own fans this week.
Bournemouth 2-1 Everton
