Both Aston Villa and their guests this weekend, Tottenham, have plenty still to play for as we reach the latter stages of the 2025/26 Premier League season, with Villa chasing Champions League qualification and Spurs desperately trying to retain their Premier League status.
Sunday's hosts have completely outplayed Spurs in all departments this season, and currently sit 13 places and 24 points above the Londoners. Villa claimed a 2-1 win in the capital when these two sides locked horns in October, and we're predicting another narrow victory for the Midlanders in their own backyard.
Unai Emery's side have not been at their best of late but have still managed to win two of their last four league games, both at Villa Park. Tottenham's form has improved of late, with the visitors securing four points from their last two games, but seven defeats in their last 10 only highlights why Spurs are in so much danger of relegation.
We've backed both teams to score on Sunday as Aston Villa have struggled for clean sheets of late, keeping just one in their last eight league games. Both teams have scored in six of Tottenham's last nine outings in the Premier League, and the Londoners have only managed to keep one clean sheet during that period.
Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham
