Newcastle United vs Hull City Prediction

Newcastle's unbeaten start to the season was shattered away at Leeds on Monday night, and this Saturday the Magpies will be looking for a positive response at home against newly promoted Hull City.

Hull remain unbeaten in the Premier League, picking up two wins and two draws from their opening four fixtures, claiming a point at Stamford Bridge last time out.

Interestingly, the head-to-head record between these two clubs is neck and neck, with each side picking up two wins and three draws apiece. However, Newcastle have never beaten Hull at St James' Park, losing twice and drawing once since 2008.

Both of these teams have played out two stalemates in their opening four league games, with Newcastle drawing at home with both Liverpool and Bournemouth. Hull first drew 0-0 at home with Aston Villa and then picked up that point against Chelsea, so you can see why we've backed Saturday's clash to end all square as well.

We are expecting to see both teams score in this 3 pm kick-off as six of the previous seven meetings between these two clubs have produced goals at both ends of the pitch.

Newcastle have scored in all of their six league and cup games so far this season, but have only managed to keep two clean sheets, and neither of those were at home.

Hull have only conceded more than one goal in one of their six outings across all competitions this season, and have also only failed to score in two of those games as well.

Taking all of the above into account, we're backing Saturday's match-up at St James' Park to end in a 1-1 draw.

Newcastle 1-1 Hull
