Tottenham vs Bournemouth Prediction

On paper, Tottenham versus Bournemouth should be an entertaining contest, as there have been 17 goals scored across the last five head-to-head clashes between the two sides.

The head-to-head record between these two sides is fairly even, as Spurs have won three games to Bournemouth’s two, with the Cherries emerging as 1-0 victors in the last meeting back in December.

Despite Tottenham having the 15th-best home record in the division with 17 points from 14 matches, they always provide plenty of entertainment from a neutral point of view, as they have scored 28 goals while conceding 24 - hence why we’re backing this game to finish as a score draw, especially when considering that Bournemouth have scored 28 and conceded 22 on their Premier League travels this campaign.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Bournemouth

Tottenham vs Bournemouth Prediction & Preview

Tottenham Hotspur hosts AFC Bournemouth in what could be a thrilling Premier League encounter between 13th and seventh in the standings.

Date: 09/03/2025

Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Time: 2pm

As previously mentioned, Andoni Iraola’s men beat Tottenham 1-0 in the reverse fixture back on 5th December as highly-touted Spanish defender Dean Huijsen scored the only goal of the game in the 17th-minute of the game.

Tottenham’s season has been one of disappointment thus far, as they sit ten points behind Sunday’s opponents, meaning that their only chance to salvage this season is by ending their 17-year trophy drought with a Europa League triumph.

The Lilywhites crashed out of the League Cup at the semi-finals stage via a 4-1 aggregate scoreline to Liverpool after previously progressing past the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in previous rounds.

Spurs’ FA Cup campaign was a disappointing one as they crashed out in the Fourth Round to Aston Villa via a 2-1 scoreline, meaning, that as previously mentioned, the Europa League is all they have left to play for between now and the end of the season.

In the Europa League, Tottenham managed to qualify for the Round of 16 via a fourth-place finish in the Group Stage. However, they do have work to do if they are to qualify for the quarter-finals, as they were beaten 1-0 by AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.

AFC Bournemouth are having another superb season under Iraola, building on last season’s foundations when the Spaniard lead them to a 12th-place finish. This campaign, the Cherries are seventh-place with 43 points from 27 matches, seeing them sit just five points behind third-place Nottingham Forest.

On top of their excellent league campaign, Bournemouth managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup where they’ll host Manchester City. Iraola’s men have managed to advance past the likes of West Brom (5-1), Everton (2-0) and Wolves (on penalties after a 1-1 draw) in this season’s competition.

The Cherries League Cup campaign was much shorter, as they suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat at West Ham United in the Second Round.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth scraped past Wolverhampton Wanderers to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on penalties, despite seeing Evanilson’s 30th-minute opener cancelled out by a sensational strike from Wolves’ Matheus Cunha.
