Wolves vs Brighton Prediction

Despite their inferior league position, Wolves come into this game as favourites as they have won six of their last seven Premier League matches, while Brighton are on a run of just one win from their last seven.

On top of their recent woes, Brighton’s away form doesn’t particularly read well this campaign, as they have won just six of their 17 matches on the road, accumulating 23 points in total.

The Both Teams to Score Market has landed in all of Brighton’s last five matches, something that we expect to happen once again here, with the home side coming out on top in this clash.

Matheus Cunha has been Wolves’ stand-out performer this campaign, having managed 21 goal contributions in 30 league matches, however, Jorgen Strand Larsen has gone under the radar, as the Norwegian has scored 13 and assisted twice in 32 Premier League games - both of these players could get on the scoresheet as they provide a strong threat at goal.

Prediction: Wolves 2-1 Brighton

Wolves vs Brighton Prediction & Preview

In Saturday’s Premier League action, Wolverhampton Wanderers hosts Brighton & Hove Albion in a meeting of 13th and 10th in the Premier League.

Date: 10/05/2025

Location: Molineux

Time: 3pm

This will be the third time that these two sides have met this season, with both of the previous meetings taking place while Gary O’Neil was in charge of Wolves. When they last met on 26th October, the game resulted in a 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium, as Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha scored dramatic late goals after Evan Ferguson had given the Seagulls a 2-0 lead in the 85th-minute.

These two sides also met in the League Cup in mid-September, a game which saw Brighton earn a 3-2 win as Carlos Baleba, Simon Adingra and Ferdi Kadioglu all got on the scoresheet in what was a comfortable victory for Fabian Hurzeler’s side.

Wolves have been impressive under the management of Vitor Pereira, as they have won 12 and drawn three of their 22 matches since the Portuguese coach took over on 19th December. When Pereira took charge, the Molineux club were loitering in 19th-place and had just nine points from 16 matches, now, they sit 13th with 41 points from 35 games.

On the other hand, Brighton are desperately trying to earn an eighth-place finish in order to qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa Conference League. The Seagulls currently sit just one point behind eighth-place AFC Bournemouth, however, they will have to refind their form imminently, having won just one of their last seven league games, seeing a lot of fans lose patience with Hurzeler.

Where to Watch Wolves vs Brighton

Wolverhampton Wanderers versus Brighton & Hove Albion will not be broadcast on live UK TV due to the 3pm blackout laws.

Team News

Wolves

Vitor Pereira’s side have a clean bill of health, meaning that the Portuguese coach will be able to field his strongest side.

Brighton

Ex-Leeds United forward Georginio Rutter is the Seagulls' only injury doubt for their trip to Molineux as the Frenchman is still recovering from an ankle issue that could rule him out for the rest of the season.

Form Guide

Wolves

Wolves suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away at Manchester City last time out in a game where they had plenty of chances to score and even grab a positive result.

Prior to that match, Wolves had beaten Leicester City 3-0 thanks to goals from Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rodrigo Gomes after previously earning victories over Manchester United (1-0), Tottenham Hotspur (4-2) and Ipswich Town (2-1).

Brighton

Brighton were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle on Sunday, as Yankuba Minteh’s 28th-minute opener was cancelled out by a 89th-minute Alexander Isak penalty.

That draw came after a 3-2 home win over West Ham United, where Carlos Baleba fired in a sensational 92nd-minute winner for the Seagulls. That victory came in the aftermath of disappointing defeats to Brentford (4-2) and Crystal Palace (2-1) on either side of a 2-2 draw with Leicester City.
