Fenerbahçe and Ludogorets will meet in the Europa Conference League this weekend with the battle at the Ulker Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium set to be a huge one between two sides battling it out for a place in the knockout rounds.
It's been another excellent start to the season for the Super Lig giants who now sit top of the Turkish top flight and above rivals and champions Galatasaray by two points after winning all of their nine games thus far.
Fenerbahce head into this one having defeated Rizespor 5-0 at the start of the month with a goal each from Dusan Tadic, Edin Dzeko, Joshua King, Irfan Kahveci and Seb Szymanski. The club followed this up with a 2-0 win over Kasimpasa where Dzeko and Tadic netted another goal each from two of the 22 shots towards goal that day. Last time out, they also beat Hatayspor 4-2 with Dzeko keeping up his excellent run of goalscoring form by scoring again. Bright Osayi Samuel also scored that day alongside more goals from Szymanski and Kahveci.
In the Europa Conference League, Fenerbahce have also kept up their winning form with two wins from two games. They started this run by defeating Nordsjaelland with a goal from Michy Batshuayi, Serdar Aziz and Miguel Crespo. Joshua King was then the hero in the win over Spartak Trnava in the following game, as the club won 2-1 away from home after having 75% of the ball.
As for Ludogorets, they drew 0-0 last time out with Arda in the Bulgarian First League, as they also beat Pirin 4-0 before that with a goal each from Caio Vidal, Rwan Cruz, Jakub Piotrowski and Spas Delev.
However, this cannot overlook their dreadful start to life in the Europa Conference League where they were battered 7-1 by Nordsjaelland in the last outing. Olivier Verdon did get an early goal from the penalty spot that day, but ultimately, the club were battered by the Norwegian side thereafter.
