One of the favourites for the Europa Conference League steps out once again with Club Brugge heading to Switzerland to meet with Lugano after a troubling start to life in the Belgian Pro League for them.
Heading into this match, the club have so far won just four games and lost three times as well. This still sees the club rack up a great tally of 23 goals scored, however, and letting in only 12 in the process too. Last time out, however, Brugge lost to Kortijk 1-0 and were also beaten by Standard Liege before that where Andreas Skov Olsen scored in the 85th minute of the game. After also drawing with STVV, Anderlecht and Genk in the Belgian Pro League, it now means the club have failed to win any of their past five games.
Nevertheless, they have still put together a win in the Europa Conference League by grabbing an excellent win over Bodo/Glimt last time out. Their other match in the competition saw them draw 1-1 with Besiktas after another goal from Hans Vanaken, who now has both of the club's goals in Europe so far. In total, Brugge had 23 shots that day and 10 of those hit the target.
As for Lugano, it has been a struggle for them so far after a handful of games in the Swiss Super League. They are in sixth and have lost as many games as they have won with five each. What all but sums up their season so far is the 19 goals scored and the 17 let in too, Recently, Lugano have lost their last two games and are winless in the league in October as a result. Servette would beat them first before Grasshoppers also racked up a 2-1 victory over them after Albian Hajdari scored for Lugano.
They have, however, managed to get an excellent win over Besiktas in the Europa Conference League this season with a goal each from Ignacio Aliseda and Shkelqim Vladi after having 23 shots that away day. Their other game in the competition has seen them draw 0-0 at home to Bodo/Glimt.
