Slovan Bratislava and Lille are set to meet with one another just two weeks on from a very close matchup back in France that saw the Ligue 1 side run out winners in the 2-1 victory.
With this game going down in Slovakia, Bratislava will be hopeful in carrying on the excellent form shown in the league since that day. The club have gone on to score a stunning 13 goals in just three games after losing to Lille, letting in only one goal too. The likes of Juraj Kucka, Aled Cavric, Nino Marcelli and David Strelec all scored goals in this period, as a combined 10 came from those three players.
This now keeps Bratislava top of the Slovak Super Liga table by four points with only one loss on the board from 13 games. The club have now gone on to score 32 goals in this period with 12 goals let in too. The only side to beat them has been Dunajska Streda.
As for Lille, they come into this game knowing they defeated Bratislava 2-1 in the last outing with a goal each from Yusuf Yazici and Remy Cabella, as the two scored in the second half.
Lille are also still sitting in second and have had an excellent month that has seen them beat the league leaders Monaco 2-0 with a goal each from Bafode Diakite and Ivan Cavaleiro, while they also kept a clean sheet in a draw away at Marseille last time out. Further wins over Brest and Le Havre have seen them go on a seven-game unbeaten run since losing to Reims at home, as they've also drawn with KI in the Europa Conference League and Lens too.
Elsewhere in the Europa League, the club are sitting top of Group A after also defeating Olimpija 2-0 at home a few weeks back. They could, however, be knocked down into third if they fail to win here and if other results go their way.
