For our Freiburg vs. Juventus prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
One of the most interesting second legs of the Europa League last 16 lineup takes place in Germany this week as Freiburg play Juventus.
Freiburg reached the Europa League round of 16 by topping Group G, a group containing Nantes, Qarabag and Olympiacos.
The Bundesliga side suffered a 1-0 first leg defeat in Turin but will be fairly satisfied with that scoreline given how one sided the game was with Freiburg managing just one shot on goal all game, failing to hit the target.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games in all competitions.
They are coming into this game on a high having beaten Hoffenheim 2-1 at the weekend courtesy of an 89th minute winner.
Their record at home has been very impressive having one unbeaten in their last fifteen matches on home soil, winning three of their last four.
Freiburg were outplayed in the first leg against Juve and their fans will have to hope that home advantage helps them produce a vastly superior performance here or they'll likely be out.
Juventus reached the last 16 of the Europa League by finishing 3rd in Champions League Group H, a group containing Benfica, PSG and Maccabi Haifa before beating Nates in the play-off round by an aggregate scoreline of 4-1.
Juve's season has been embroiled by turmoil with The Old Lady receiving a 15 point deduction back in January all while batting with on-field issues given they've been struggling to be anywhere near their best.
They have improved notably as the weeks have gone by though, and they enter this game amidst a decent run of form having won four of their last five matches.
Most recently, Juve ran out 4-2 winners against Sampdoria in Serie A.
Juve's away form has been hit and miss with Max Allegri's side winning three and losing two of their last five matches on the road.
Juventus will be disappointed to only have a 1-0 lead to show for what was a dominant showing last time out, but they should still be confident ahead of this match given they've demonstrated there's a clear gap in quality between the two sides.
Freiburg will likely make this one competitive but ultimately the Italian giants should have too much for their opponents here.
