Manchester United will welcome the Europa League serial winners Sevilla to Old Trafford this Thursday evening with the home side aiming to keep up their fight in all three cup competitions before a trip back to Seville next week.
It's been a topsy-turvy month for United with them losing at the start of April to Newcastle United in a 2-0 convincing victory for the Magpies. Erik ten Hag's men quickly returned to the win column with a 1-0 win over Brentford before then easing past Everton 2-0 thanks to goals from Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial.
That loss to Newcastle, however, remains their only defeat since the 7-0 mauling from Liverpool as the Red Devils also defeated Real Betis 4-1 at Old Trafford before a 1-0 victory against Sevilla's neighbours in Seville.
At the same time, United have also beaten Real Sociedad in the Europa League and lost to them at Old Trafford too and drew 2-2 with Barcelona at the Nou Camp before a 2-1 win over the Catalan giants at Old Trafford in the playoffs round. It now means United have managed to get four wins over Spanish opposition already this season, with one draw and one loss too.
As for Sevilla, they managed to draw 2-2 with Celta Vigo last Friday and defeat Cadiz at the start of April to keep them unbeaten in La Liga in April. They do, however, remain in 13th but are way adrift of the relegation zone after previously fighting in the bottom three.
