Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen are set to go at it again this Thursday evening in the Europa League after a thrilling first leg back in Germany saw five goals and the Ligue 1 side edge out a victory on the road.
Monaco took a lead thanks to a Lukas Hradecky own goal after 10 minutes against Leverkusen. Moussa Diaby and Florian Wirtz scored goals early on in the second half to take a 2-1 lead, but the day was stolen by Krepin Diatta and Axel Disasi, as both men scored in the final 20 minutes of the game to win it 3-2.
Monaco also stayed in the win column and kept up their exceptional form since the World Cup last weekend too, as Aleksandr Golovin scored in the first half against Brest before Myron Boadu netted the winning goal on the road.
Leverkusen, quite incredibly, lost 3-2 for the second game running when they met with Mainz at the BayArena. Nadiem Amiri scored before a Patrik Schick equaliser in the second half of the game. Leverkusen eventually lost the game from a penalty in the 82nd minute, as more pressure gets heaped on Xabi Alonso at the helm of the club. In fact, Alonso's side remain in 10th as a result of the loss.
2+ shots on target each team in each half in 90 minutes is boosted to 7/2, while Monaco to win and both teams to score in 90 minutes is up to 7/1. Monaco to win 3-2 in 90 minutes once more is up at 28/1, and you can get 100/1 for Wissam Ben Yedder to score first and Monaco 3-1. Monaco are also no 1/5 to win the tie.
