The second leg of the Europa League playoffs is underway this weekend as Nantes welcomes Juventus to France after the Ligue 1 side came back to stun the Serie A outfit in Turin to finish the first leg with a 1-1 draw.
Ludovic Blas scored for Nantes in the second half of the game back in Italy, as Dusan Vlahovic scored after 12 minutes for Juventus. The home side also had just six shots on target that day from 14 shots in total and a total of 57% of the ball. Juventus managed to ease past Spezia over the past weekend too, as Moise Kean scored in the first half with Angel Di Maria sealing the deal in the second 45.
Juventus are now sitting seventh in Serie A after a 15-point deduction. Without these points being taken off them, the club would be level on points with second-placed Inter Milan, having won one fewer game than them. The Turin side have also lost just four times in the league and conceded just 17 times - only the league leaders Napoli have a better record.
As for Nantes, Lens eased past them in the last outing, as Florent Mollet scored in the first 45 minutes for the club in a 3-1 loss. Nantes only had three shots on target that day with 42% of the ball. Antoine Kombouaré's men are still in 13th as a result and are now just nine points above the bottom four. His side have drawn 10 times in the league already, and only Reims have drawn the same.
