Brazil have picked up four points from their opening two group games and will be the much-fancied favourites to win their final match of the group stage against Scotland. Steve Clarke's side got off to a winning start, but a narrow defeat to Morocco followed, and now Scotland's best chance of qualifying for the knockout round appears to be as one of the best third-placed teams.
Brazil were always the favourites to win Group C and head into their final match against Scotland unbeaten in their last five fixtures, picking up four wins and a draw. Scotland's form has been hit and miss of late, with Clarke's men losing four and winning four of their last eight matches, and we are yet to see a really good performance from the Tartan Army at the 2026 World Cup.
Over 2.5 goals have been produced in six of Scotland's last 10 matches, while six of Brazil's last eight games have also witnessed at least three goals. The Brazilians have scored three or more goals in four of their last eight matches, but have only kept two clean sheets during that period.
Former Leeds United winger Raphinha is yet to score or claim an assist at the 2026 World Cup despite coming close on numerous occasions. The Barcelona star led the way during the qualifiers, scoring five goals and producing two assists, so we're sure he will get off the mark very soon.
Brazil 3-1 Scotland
