North Macedonia vs Wales Prediction

North Macedonia versus Wales promised to be an intriguing contest in Group J, with both of these two sides expected to be competing with Belgium for the top two positions in the standings.

The hosts are in good form as they have won all of their last six matches, however, they were competing in League C Group 4 of the Nations League against the likes of Armenia, the Faroe Islands and Latvia.

Wales are unbeaten under Craig Bellamy, as they have won four and drawn three of their seven matches under the ex-Newcastle United and Manchester City forward, scoring 12 and conceding five times. Under the 45-year-old, they have been a tough nut to crack, as Wales won Group B4 of the Nations League, hence why we are backing the Dragons for a narrow win here.

On top of this, the Both Teams to Score market has landed in three of Wales’ last five matches, while they have scored 10 times during these matches.

Prediction: North Macedonia 1-2 Wales

North Macedonia vs Wales Prediction & Preview

On Tuesday (25/03/2025) night, Wales travels to the Tose Proeski Arena where they’ll meet North Macedonia in Group J of Europe’s World Cup qualifiers.

Date: 25/03/2025

Location: Tose Proeski Arena

Time: 7:45pm

These two national sides have only met twice, with those fixtures taking place 12 years ago, with North Macedonia winning the home match 2-1 thanks to goals by Ivan Trickovski and Aleksandr Trajkovski scoring on either side of an Aaron Ramsey penalty, while in Wales, the Dragons emerged as 1-0 victors as Simon Church scored the only goal of the game.

North Macedonia enter the European World Cup qualfiers in good form, as they managed to win Group C4 of the Nations League as they accumulated 16 points from six matches, winning five and drawing one while scoring ten and conceding just once. Something that must be noted, is that North Macedonia were up against a weak set of opponents in the shapes of Armenia, the Faroe Islands and Latvia.

Girona striker Bojan Miovski was Macedonia’s top scorer in the Nations League, as the ex-Aberdeen man fired in three goals in six appearances, averaging 0.52 goals per 90 minutes.

So far, North Macedonia have won their only World Cup qualifying game, as they beat Liechtenstein 3-0.

Meanwhile, Wales also won Group B4, meaning that they have had a successful start to life under Bellamy, as they finished ahead of the likes of Turkey, Iceland and Montenegro with 12 points, having won three and drawn three of their six matches, scoring nine times and conceding just four.

Fulham’s Harry Wilson was the star man in Wales’ Nations League campaign, as he fired in four goals and created one assist in six matches.

Wales won their opening European World Cup qualifying match, as they defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.
