The summer transfer window comes to a close on Friday night for clubs around Europe and it's been another year of huge spending. Over the last few months we've seen some mega money thrown around, with over £1 billion shelled out by clubs in the Premier League alone. English clubs are amongst the wealthiest in world football, largely thanks to the huge broadcasting deals with allow them to blow some of their European rivals out the water when it comes to landing top targets. But despite this advantage, it hasn't stopped clubs around the continent shelling out some big amounts.
The most eye-catching and headline dominating move of the summer came in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo, who ended his 9 year stay in Madrid in order to move on to Juventus. Despite being at the age of 33 he still commanded a massive a fee of around £100m - showing just how crazy the transfer market can be. It could prove to be a bargain for the Serie A side if he can replicate his form from Spain, which saw him depart the Champions League holders with an incredible 450 goals in just 438 games.
Ronaldo's move is one of many which has cost an awful lot of money, in whats been one of the most ridiculous summers in terms of transfer fees. With the window slamming shut this week we've put together a quiz to re-cap everything that unfolded this summer. We want to see if you can name the 40 most expensive deals to have been completed over the last few months, inside just 8 minutes. This is transfers made by European clubs ONLY and it's a pretty tough one - so anything over 30 is a very good effort!
