International football returns this week and there's a few interesting encounters & stories to look out for. One of which is the United States' visit to Wembley Stadium to take on England, the first meeting between these two sides since their clash at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. That was both sides' tournament opener and England were big favourites, taking the lead through skipper Steven Gerrard before gifting their opponents a goal courtesy of an absolute howler from Robert Green, allowing Clint Dempsey to equalise. It may be branded as a friendly this one but with England in UEFA Nations League action shortly after against Croatia, Gareth Southgate will be keen to run the rule over his squad and they'll want to impress.
There'll be some familiar faces on display and one is former England skipper Wayne Rooney, who's set for his final cap against a nation that he plays his domestic football in. The DC United man will be desperate to make an impact in front of the Wembley crowd for the last time after Southgate confirmed that he'll be making a substitute appearance - so it's bound to be an emotional evening for the 33 year-old.
In the build up to the big game we've put together a quiz that'll really test your knowledge. Carrying on with the England v USA theme, we want to see if you can name these selected American players that have played in the Premier League over the years. There's a couple in there that are still plying their trade here now the majority of them from the past and we're expecting you all to find it pretty difficult! There's 25 answers in total and we've given you 9 minutes in total to name as many as possible, so give it your best shot below and tweet your efforts into us @FootyAccums to see how you compare with the rest of our followers!
