The Premier League is in it’s 26th season since it’s formation in 1992 but believe it or not there was a time before the Premier League. Football hasn’t always had the money and commercialisation as football in the modern day. The Football League was founded all the way back in 1888 with twelve teams participating in the League. Back then teams weren’t relegated or promoted the bottom teams had to be re-elected to join the League for the next season.Football has come a long way since 1888 and is now one of the most competitive and sort after industries to be involved in. Over the years football has grown with teams all round the country being formed.
English football now has four professional leagues with the Premier League top of the pyramid. We’ve gone back and looked through the history books to make a quiz on all the past winners of top English League.
We want to see if you can name every team to have won the top English League. There are 24 teams to guess, it sounds hard but we’ve given you the years that they’ve won it.
