There are some big fixtures in world football but not many capture a global audience like Barcelona v Real Madrid. Geographically these sides may not be near each other but there's a long standing rivalry between the pair which dates very far back - so there's always fireworks when they meet. This weekend sees the first meeting of the season between these two great clubs and it's going to have a strange look to it. There will no Zinedine Zidane or Andres Iniesta but the main news comes in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
These two have been regarded as the best players on the plenty for the last 10+ years and it will be the first time that they're not involved in this fixture since 2007. Ronaldo moved onto pastures new in Italy with Juventus this summer after glittering career with Los Blancos - rounded off by leading them to a third successive Champions League title. Whilst Messi fractured his arm in Barcelona's 4-2 win over Sevilla at the Camp Nou last weekend meaning he'll be out for around 3 weeks, which is a massive blow to the La Liga leaders.
The last time neither of these two featured in El Classico was back in December 2007, when Real Madrid beat Barcelona in Catalonia on their way to winning the La Liga title. Both line-ups are VERY different to the ones that they have now with just 1 player from still playing at either of these clubs! We've put together a quiz to test your knowledge on that clash and we want to see just how much you can remember from that day - there's 38 answers to guess which includes both sets of players, substitutes and managers, so it's not easy.
