The EFL Cup is one of the newer competitions on the English domestic calendar but it's still one that's steeped in history. This tournament pits every professional club in the country down from the Premier League down to League Two (92 clubs) with the prize being lifting the famous trophy under the arch at Wembley Stadium. It's a competition that's provided plenty of memorable moments over the years with the majority of them belonging to Liverpool, who've won the trophy a record 8 times - followed by Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Chelsea who've all been successful on 5 occasions each.
Liverpool will have to wait a while to make it 9 times though, with them out of the 2018/19 EFL Cup campaign. They were beaten 2-1 at Anfield by Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea in the third round in the most high profile casualty so far. On Tuesday night the competition returns with many sides still dreaming progressing through to that Wembley final. Burton and Blackpool are the two lowest ranked sides remaining - with the latter being rewarded for their run to the fourth round with an away trip to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal.
With the Cup returning this week we've put together a quiz which'll really test your knowledge. We want to see if you can name the top scorer from each of the last 19 years of the EFL Cup - which includes some pretty obscure names. We've given you 8 minutes to name as many as possible and we're expecting this to be tough for the majority of you, so anything over 12 is a very good effort! Once you've given it a go tweet your scores into us @FootyAccums to see how you compare with the rest of our followers - good luck!
